Garcia: I’m on a mission to knockout Tank in two rounds

Fighting

Ryan Garcia says he’s not taking time to celebrate his recent knockout win over Luke Campbell, instead turning his direct attention to social media rival Gervonta Davis, demanding that Davis accept a fight against him next. Garcia is, of course, extremely confident that he’ll be the one to knock off Davis, and do it in emphatic fashion, telling TMZ:

“He knows, we all know what’s gonna happen pretty soon. I don’t have time for celebrations, I’m on one mission. I’m on a mission to knockout Gervonta Davis in two rounds. Two rounds this man will go down. Two rounds, that’s a promise.

“Gervonta, if you do not take this next fight with me you will not be remembered. Your legacy will forever be tainted if you do not accept this fight next. The money’s there, everything’s there, there’s no excuses. You’re down in two.”

When asked if negotiations to stage that fight have commenced, Garcia replied:

“From what I’ve known we’ve had some talks but not like official talks. Nothing crazy, nothing set. Now is the time. He knocked out Leo Santa Cruz, I beat Luke Campbell. This is what the people want to see. Let’s make it exciting for the fans, let’s give them what they want. Let’s do it, man.”

In a since-deleted response, Davis wrote:

“When I ever been a bitch? You know who you talked to 10 mins before ya ring walk. The fight already been made, now shut up and get ready! #TheONE”

Let’s see if this fight gets any traction, but it’s very clear Garcia wants to get straight to it.
