Swedish heavyweight and reigning RBO champ Pezham Seifkhani (11-0) and Croatian light heavy Marco Calic (11-1) headlines a show at the Intercontinental Hotel in St Julian’s, Malta on March 27. Opponents are to be announced. Calic was last seen losing to Joshua Buatsi while Seifkhani is coming off a long corona related layoff.

Promoting the show is Swede Niclas Elfstedt, who makes his debut as a boxing promoter, but is still active as a professional fighter and also puts on K 1 Events.

Former WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF and IBO female welterweight champ Cecilia Braekhus (36-1) is in Chicago training for the upcoming rematch against current five-title holder Jessica McCaskill (9-2), writes Norwegian paper VG.

Braekhus left Norway for the US on December 23 and will head for Big Bear Lake and a training camp under Abel Sanchez once there is a date set. VG writes that it looks like Braekhus vs McCaskill II will go ahead in March or April.

The fact that McCaskill resides in Chicago makes no difference to Braekhus, who feels the town is big enough for both of them.
