Jake Paul “plants seed” for Tommy Fury, says he’d KO Nate Diaz in three

With Jake Paul’s win over Ben Askren in the books, focus is now on what’s next for Paul. Joe Fournier may be the front-runner right now, but there are other options out there, and Paul is talking about them.

As for this whole thing maybe going away, don’t bank on it, as the PPV numbers are looking huge.

One target Paul has in mind: UK boxing prospect Tommy Fury, the 21-year-old half-brother of Tyson Fury.

“I’m gonna plant the seed right now: Tommy Fury vs me, Michael Hunter vs Tyson Fury all on the same night,” Paul told Elie Seckbach while standing with Michael Hunter after last night’s fights.

“He’s weak,” Paul said of Tommy Fury.

Tommy has started his pro career 5-0 (4 KO) against the sort of opposition young prospects often face, the type of fighters — particularly common in the UK and Europe — affectionately known as “professional losers.” They know their way around the ring but they weren’t brought in to win.

It is, frankly, not much different than what Paul has done to get to 3-0 (3 KO), other than the guys Paul has fought are more well-known for various reasons than Jevgenijs Andrejevs and Genadij Krajevski.

Fury, for his part, says he’d take the fight. Why wouldn’t he? He’s probably confident. He is legitimately trained. He’s got boxing in his blood. I’m sure he’s confident he’d win. And it’s worth a lot of money.

Another name Jake brought up, probably just for the hell of it, is UFC star Nate Diaz, saying he’d knock Diaz out in three rounds:

I mean, at least he said he’d go three.
