Joe Fournier Hopes Triller Will Get Him Jake Paul Fight Next

Joe Fournier, who fought at cruiserweight this past weekend, says he wants to face Youtube star Jake Paul next.

On Saturday night, Fournier picked up a second round stoppage win over music star Reykon.

The two men were competing at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of the pay-per-view undercard to Paul’s fight with MMA veteran Ben Askren.

It didn’t take Fournier long to start the damage, dropping Reykon twice in the opening two rounds. That proved to be too much for the Colombian reggaeton artist, who was pulled out at the end of the second round to hand Fournier the win.

In the main event, Paul picked up a first round TKO win over Askren. He landed a big right hand to send Askren down hard, with the contest being waved off when the MMA fighter got to his feet on very unsteady legs.

Fournier raised his undefeated record to nine wins – with all nine coming by way of knockout.

It was Fournier’s first ring appearance since December 2016. He failed a drug test in connection with a bout that took place in June of 2016. Because of that, he was hit with a suspension until December 2020 – but the penalty was later reduced until April 2018.

He was pleased with the win and hopes Triller will match him against Paul in the summer.

“It just kind of came out naturally. I wanted four or five rounds to get my feet back under me honestly. Everyone knows, I’d love Jake Paul next,” Fournier said.

“I love what Triller are doing and I want to be part of every Fight Club, so thank you to Triller, I appreciate it.”
