Staredown: Canelo and Saunders go face-to-face for first time

Fighting

Canelo Alvarez and Billy Joe Saunders went face-to-face for the first time today in Texas, just a few days ahead of their fight Saturday night on DAZN (8 pm ET), and with the ring size controversy settled, it’s full steam ahead for the three-belt unification.

Alvarez (55-1-2, 37 KO) is defending the WBC and WBA super middleweight titles, and was generally pretty quiet here, but he obviously said something. Saunders (30-0, 14 KO), the WBO titlist, was as usual loud and talkative, and even attempted to out-swag Canelo by wearing what is either a really nice bath robe or his ring robe for Saturday, who knows with Billy Joe?
