Fightzone (UK), TBA, Myron Mills vs Lucas Ballingall. Fightzone is a UK streaming service with, being honest, lower-tier fights, but lower-tier fights aren’t always a bad thing, necessarily. Look how great Jake Paul is! This is for the English lightweight title, which is a stepping stone toward a British title. You may have seen Mills lose a competitive fight with Gavin Gwynne in 2018, and Ballingall lost his last fight.
Telemundo, 11:35 pm ET, Jonathan Gonzalez vs Armando Torres. Pretty standard Telemundo card, from Florida as always, Gonzalez is a good fighter but can be beaten, Torres is a 40-year-old journeyman you’ve probably seen lose a time or two.
Channel 5 (UK), 5:00 pm ET, Sam Eggington vs Carlos Molina. The main event is for a WBC middleweight “silver” title, which doesn’t mean much by itself, but could set up the atrocious idea of Sam Eggington fighting Jermall Charlo if Eggington beats Molina, a former titleholder at 154 who was deported from the U.S. to Mexico in 2014 and has been fighting outside of the States since then. He lost four fights in a row back in 2017-18, all on the road, and also lost to Abass Baraou in 2019 in Germany, but he’s won eight straight low-level fights in Mexico, so that’s good enough for the WBC, I guess.
ESPN+, 5:15 pm ET, Ramirez-Taylor undercard. As of now, the show is set to feature Robeisy Ramirez, Elvis Rodriguez, Javier Martinez, Raymond Muratalla, and what could be a banger between Louie Coria and Jose Enrique Vivas. BLH will have live coverage.
ESPN+ and ESPN, 8:30 pm ET, Jose Ramirez vs Josh Taylor, Jose Zepeda vs Hank Lundy. The main event is for all the marbles at 140 lbs; the winner could, in theory, move right up to 147 and be a strong, unbeaten challenger for Terence Crawford, and heaven knows Crawford needs a decent opponent. But if Ramirez-Taylor turns out to be a great fight, maybe running it back would be worth it. We’ll see, but this is a must-see fight, this is one you need to tune in to see. Two top fighters, in their primes, undefeated, for the clear crown at junior welterweight. The co-feature isn’t great. Lundy is 37, years past his prime, and he usually came up short against his better opponents, anyway. But he’s a crafty, clever fighter who might have some tricks up his sleeve. Zepeda’s a good fighter but hardly flawless or anything. BLH will have live coverage.
