Celebrity Boxing founder Damon Feldman has revealed to TMZ Sports that he finalized an exhibition fight between Lamar Odom and former heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe.
The 6’10”, 41-year-old former NBA All-Star will collide with the 53-year-old retired pugilist on October 2 from the James L. Knight arena in Miami, Florida.
Feldman indicates that Fite TV will carry the event.
Bowe, who walked away from the sport with a 43-1-1 record, has not fought in over a decade … winning his last pro bout in 2008.
Bowe had technically left boxing after two bruising fights with Andrew Golota in 1996.
He made a comeback eight years later in 2004, but the second run of his career only lasted for three fights.
In 2015, he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
As for Odom, he took part in his first boxing match back in June, when he blew away pop star Aaron Carter in the second round. Carter looked overmatched and very undersized in the contest.
Also, being planned for the undercard, former two-division world champion Paulie Malignaggi is going to fight social media personality Corey B.
Malignaggi and Corey had an altercation at Lamar’s last fight … nearly coming to blows after Corey played a prank on Malignaggi while he was doing commentary at ringside.
