Olympics 2020, Day 15: Live coverage, 1 am ET

Fighting

After two weeks, we have arrived at the end, and what a final day we’ve got on tap for boxing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Team USA will have two chances today to end the long men’s boxing gold medal drought, which dates back to Andre Ward in 2004. Lightweight Keyshawn Davis and super heavyweight Richard Torrez both have gold medal matchups on tap for this final session, and both, it has to be said, are underdogs.

Torrez was stopped in the first round by Uzbekistan’s Bakhodir Jalolov — who has always been the heavy favorite in Tokyo — back in 2019, and Davis is 0-3 against Cuba’s Andy Cruz.

But the Americans have their opportunities. Jalolov will be looking to cap off a pretty dominant run, while Cruz looks to add a fourth boxing gold medal for Cuba in Tokyo. We’ll also see two women’s finals, with Ireland’s Kellie Harrington taking on Brazil’s Beatriz Ferreira at lightweight, and Lauren Price of Great Britain battling China’s Li Qian at middleweight.

You can stream the bouts live at NBCOlympics.com, and we’ll be here. Join us as we finish up from Tokyo!
