Anthony Taylor believes he will knock Tommy Fury out inside two or three rounds when they clash on August 29.
Former MMA fighter, Taylor will face unbeaten light heavyweight, Fury on the undercard of Jake Paul’s showdown with Tyron Woodley in Ohio.
Fury, the younger brother of WBC heavyweight world champion, Tyson has won his first six professional fights, however ‘Pretty Boy’ who is 0-1 as a professional does not believe the 22-year-old has fought anyone of note so far.
“Even though I don’t have all that boxing experience on the record, I have fighting experience,” Taylor told Pro Boxing Fans.
“Tommy’s never fought a real fighter. He’s never fought no guy who just came to him besides the last guy he fought.
“The guys he’s fought you might as well call them amateur bouts.
“I’m going to get the job done. I have a very high fight IQ. If you watch my fights I don’t come in trying to bang, I don’t make mistakes I come in with a strategy I know what I’m doing.
“Yeah boxing is different, but you’re forgetting this guy is not a boxer, look at him he’s an amateur, look at the way he swings, the way he punches, but I’m not going to take nothing from him because he’s 6-0 for a reason.
“Tommy is a good fighter in his sense, he comes from the Fury background. I’m not going to belittle him, but I’m definitely not going to give him the credit he deserves but I do respect him as a fighter because he goes in there and he risks his life.”
Fury, who has signed a two-fight deal with SHOWTIME has been linked with a future fight with Jake Paul, who is with the same network.
Taylor, who is one of Paul’s main sparring partners, anticipates a swift knockout victory over the Brit.
“He might want a rematch after I give him an ass-whooping,” the 32-year-old said.
“If he doesn’t get me out in the first round which he’s not, I say a second or third round finish, shock the world.”
