Before Yordenis Ugas faces Manny Pacquiao, he proved to the boxing community that he belonged in the ring with champions. Shawn Porter experienced Ugas’ boxing prowess first hand, pushing him 12RDs in a WBC World Welterweight championship fight.
The fight was competitive from the opening bell and it went the distance, ending in a split decision victory in favor of Shawn Porter. Some argue that the slip by Shawn Porter was actually a knockdown. Either way, the fight was a test for both Shawn Porter and Yordenis Ugas, who faces Manny Pacquiao August 21, 2021, in the biggest fight of his career.
