Dina Thorslund will make the first defense of her WBO bantamweight title against Ring Magazine’s #1 ranked fighter Zulina Munoz.
The fight will take place at the Sydbank Arena in Kolding, Denmark on Saturday 13 November, in a huge showdown between two of the best female fighters on the planet.
Undefeated Thorslund (16-0, 6 KOs) won the WBO bantamweight title in June with a unanimous decision victory over Jasseth Noriega, becoming a two-weight world champion in the process having already won the WBO super-bantamweight title in 2018 and making three successful defenses.
Her win over Noriega saw Thorslund ranked as the #5 bantamweight fighter with the Ring Magazine, and the Danish star will now look to test herself against the very best, taking on Ring Magazine’s #1 ranked bantamweight Munoz.
Munoz (53-3-2, 30 KOs) has one of the best records in all of female boxing, and was world champion at super-flyweight for five years from 2012 to 2017, making an incredible 11 defenses of her title during that time.
