Rising Prospect, Diego Pacheco, (13-0, 10 KOs), has made some changes in his training camp and will now train alongside boxers like two-time world champion David Benavidez and junior middleweight contender Jose Benavidez.
Pacheco has hooked up with trainer Jose Benavidez Sr.
On March 5th, Pacheco returns to the ring on the undercard of the trilogy bout between Juan Francisco Estrada and Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez, which takes place at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, CA.
Pacheco had a stellar amateur career and was ranked as top middleweight amateur by both the United States and Mexico. He turned pro and signed a promotional deal with Eddie Hearn, as part of his Matchroom USA banner. Pacheco made his professional debut on December 22, 2018.
Now under the tutelage of Benavidez Sr., Pacheco believes there is so much more he can learn and only better his performance to give the fans the explosive style they love.
Benavidez Sr. is enthusiastic about adding him to his stable of fighters. Being a self taught trainer, he made both his sons, Jose Jr. and David, successful pros. Training camp started today for Pacheco, David Benavidez and Jose “Rayo” Valenzuela, who all have their upcoming respective fights.
