Boxing Scene

Grande Synthe, France – French hotshot Milan Prat (15-0) won the IBF Youth title with an easy stoppage of much shorter, overmatched and overweight Mexican Jose Angel Flores Chan (9-6-2).

Dylan Bregeon (12-2-1) won the French cruiserweight title with a points win over defending champion Eddy Lacrosse (13-8-2 in a hard fought messy affair. Bregeon, much taller, couldn’t keep Lacrosse away and Lacrosse was unable to work effectively once he was on the inside.

Super bantamweight Mathis Vegas (9-0) retained the French title with a clear points win over tough and aggressive challenger Thomas Barbier (10-22-1. Barbier was hurt by body punches but hang in there and made it to the final bell.

In the fourth and final pro fight on the bill, Priscilla Peterle (5-0) won the vacant EBU female super welterweight title on scores of 98-92 twice and 97-93 over Swede Marianne Ahlborg (5-1). Peterle won the fight using an educated left hand and scored with hooks to the body, uppercuts to the head and jabs. Ahlborg was brave and kept coming but was too slow and predictable.
