Adames was pressing forward in a very tactical first round where not much happened. The jab of Adames was marking up the face of Montiel in the second. There was a lot of body shots landing as well.
It was bombs away in the third, with big exchanges that saw Adames blasting Montiel with big punches. He put Montiel in serious trouble and had him all over the place – prompting the referee to jump in and wave off the fight.
