Photos: Liam Davies Decisions Ionut Baluta To Capture EBU Title

Telford – For the EBU super bantamweight title, Liam Davies (13-0, 5 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over veteran Ionut Baluta (15-4, 3 KOs).

The scores were 116-112, 118-110 and 117-111.

Baluta came out pushing forward making it a fight with Davies. Both were landing shots in a high tempo fight. It was give and take for several of the following rounds, with Davies being the more accurate boxer of the two.

As the contest played out in the second, Davies became more and more accurate and he slowly took over the entire fight, with Baluta unable to turn the tide.
