Highlights: Watch all three of Ryan Garcia’s knockdowns on Devin Haney

Fighting

Ryan Garcia put Devin Haney on the canvas three times — officially — en route to a majority decision upset win tonight in Brooklyn.

Garcia does not win the WBC super lightweight title with the victory after failing to miss weight on Friday. The belt is now vacant.

Here’s a look at all three knockdowns Garcia scored, one each in the seventh, 10th, and 11th rounds:

Referee Harvey Dock arguably could have ruled Haney (31-1, 15 KO) down two more times in round seven, but ruled each instance a slip. Garcia (25-1, 21 KO) also lost a point in round seven after the official knockdown for punching on the break.

In the end, the scores came back 112-112 even, then 114-110 and 115-109 for Garcia, giving him the W.

Both fighters have said they would do a rematch, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens, and how the returns are on the pay-per-view to see if Golden Boy and Garcia would want to run it back.
