‘I’m going to take his head off’: Garcia aims to end career of Spence

Fighting

Ryan Garcia has made his way to Saudi Arabia for this weekend’s undisputed heavyweight unification between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk. During a conversation with DAZN, Garcia discusses the black cloud hanging over his win over Devin Haney, wanting to fight Errol Spence next, and his prediction for the heavyweight contest. Check it out!

Garcia on how he’s feeling with all the controversy surrounding his win over Devin Haney

“I’m doing perfect. I’m happy. Justice will prevail so I’m not worried about nothing. God got my back.

“After May 22nd their should be a result for, obviously, the B-sample, but I don’t believe it will come out clean because obviously if they found it in the A, why wouldn’t they find it in the B? I think it’s all bull crap, as we know it is. I mean nobody takes steroids the day before the fight and the day after the fight. You would have to actually be dumb.”

On pushing for a fight against Errol Spence

“I need that. I’m going to take his head off…You know, Terence Crawford did a good job on it, but I’m going to finish the job, like he’s not going to be like boxing anymore after he fights me.

“Heart of hearts, I want to know him out for my coach.”

On his prediction for Fury vs Usyk

“It’s going to be a 12 round decision, it’s going to be a very close fight but I think that Fury is just too good and I love Fury. Fury, he got that energy in him, he looks great. Usyk, hell of a fighter, but nah. Fury’s the man, I think he’s the best heavyweight of all time.

“I love Muhammad Ali but I think Tyson Fury is the best heavyweight fighters of all time. Shout out to Muhammad Ali, though.”
