Redkach Comes In Heavy Ahead Of Wednesday Night Fights Main Event With Jukembayev

ProBox TV returns tomorrow with Wednesday Night Fights. 

The card takes place at the ProBox TV Events Center in Plant City, Florida, and will be headlined by junior welterweight contender Batyrzhan Jukembayev taking on Ivan Redkach.

Jukembayev (22-1, 16 KOs), of Shu, Kazakhstan by way of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, came in slightly under the junior welterweight limit of 139.8lbs. His opponent, Ivan Redkach (24-6-1, 19 KOs) came in heavy, weighing 141.6 lbs, a little more than a pound-and-a-half above the contracted weight ahead of their 10-round main event, but the fight will go on.

Jukembayev is on a four-fight win streak with his last two wins coming on ProBox TV. His lone defeat was to current IBF junior welterweight world champion, Subriel Matias. 

Redkach is returning to action after a 10-month layoff. Before his stoppage win over Elvin Perez in Costa Rica, he was riding a two-fight losing streak after being halted by Regis Prograis and losing a unanimous decision to Danny Garcia.
