Bivol on his reaction to Beterbiev suffering an injury, postponing their anticipated showdown

“It’s common situation and it’s not first time in boxing. And after I heard this news my next question was like ‘what is (next) for me? What will we do on June 1st, do we have some options?’ And I got option as Malik Zinad and I’m focused on Malik Zinad.

“I was disappointed a little bit and then I switched to another fight.”

On when the Beterbiev fight will be rescheduled for

“They told me only it will be this year before new year. I don’t think about it now because I have a fight. I don’t want to think about it. I don’t know how his recovering is going now, it’s not my business now. But I believe that this fight will happen because both of our sides want this fight.”

On David Benavidez wanting to fight him

“David Benavidez is a good fighter, he’s a really good fighter and it’s interesting fight to be honest, against Gvozdyk. He’s good for light heavyweight division.”
