Tank and Benavidez reportedly eyeing Dec. 14 PPV doubleheader

Fighting

Multiple outlets report that Gervonta “Tank” Davis and David Benavidez could once again share the spotlight on a December 14th PBC PPV, with Salvador Rodriguez adding that Brandon Figueroa and at least one Charlo could also appear.

No opponents have been named, but the historically reliable Julius Julianis claims that the most “probable” outcome would see Davis (30-0, 28 KO) fight newly crowned WBA super lightweight champion Jose Valenzuela (14-2, 9 KO) and Benavidez (29-0, 24 KO) take on Jesse Hart (31-3, 25 KO).

Considering both men are gearing up for major fights in 2025 (Davis against Shakur Stevenson and Benavidez against Artur Beterbiev or Dmitry Bivol), these seem like reasonable matchups. Valenzuela proved his bona fides by neutralizing Isaac Cruz and Hart, though he’s fallen under the radar since underwhelming against Joe Smith Jr a few years back, is a cut above your standard get-well opponent for someone returning from injury.

We’ll keep you posted as the card comes together.
