Ennis vs Chukhadzhian 2: Live updates and results

Fighting

Two of boxing’s brightest rising stars return tonight, as Jaron “Boots” Ennis and Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez make world title defenses in Philadelphia.

The show will stream live starting at 7 pm ET on DAZN. Wil Esco has your live updates and coverage tonight.

Ennis, 27, defends his IBF welterweight title in a not-so-hotly anticipated rematch with Karen Chukhadzhian, whom Ennis soundly defeated in Jan. 2023, winning a clean sweep shutout over 12 rounds that weren’t exactly thrilling television. But the IBF ordered this rematch for due to who knows what convoluted reasoning that makes wins over Michael Marcano, Pietro Rossetti, and Harry Scarff worthy of a demanded title rematch.

Rodriguez, 24, defends his WBC super flyweight title against veteran Pedro Guevara, a former titleholder two divisions down, a decade ago. He lost a flyweight title shot in 2017 and an interim super flyweight title bout in 2023, but won on a second interim crack in May against Andrew Moloney, so he has at least followed a path.

Also in action will be Raymond Ford, Khalil Coe, and Austin Williams, with both Ford and Williams looking to bounce back from their first defeats.

Main Card (DAZN, 7:00 pm ET)

  • Jaron “Boots” Ennis (32-0, 29 KO) vs Karen Chukhadzhian (24-2, 13 KO), rematch, welterweights, 12 rounds, for Ennis’ IBF title
  • Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez (20-0, 13 KO) vs Pedro Guevara (42-4-1, 22 KO), super flyweights, 12 rounds, for Rodriguez’s WBC title
  • Raymond Ford (15-1-1, 8 KO) vs Orlando Gonzalez (23-2, 13 KO), super featherweights, 10 rounds
  • Khalil Coe (9-0-1, 7 KO) vs Manuel Gallegos (20-2-1, 17 KO), light heavyweights, 10 rounds
  • Austin Williams (16-1, 11 KO) vs Gian Garrido (11-1, 8 KO), middleweights, 8 rounds
