Warrington-Lara: Live coverage, 2 pm ET

Fighting

Josh Warrington makes his return to the ring today on DAZN and Sky Sports (UK), as the now former featherweight titlist faces Mauricio Lara in the Matchroom Boxing main event.

Warrington, 30, recently vacated the IBF title, but plans to stay at 126 pounds and seek bigger fights, feeling the IBF weren’t going to help him do that. This fight with Lara — who is taking a huge step up in competition — will be Warrington’s first since his Oct. 2019 win over Sofiane Takoucht.

The card will also feature Zelfa Barrett taking on veteran Kiko Martinez in a 12-round junior lightweight bout, Leigh Wood facing Reece Mould for the vacant British featherweight title, and prospects Dalton Smith, Hopey Price, and Ibrahim Nadim in action.
