Tonight at 9 pm ET streaming live on DAZN, top rising welterweight Vergil Ortiz Jr looks to keep his hype train rolling when he faces former junior welterweight titlist Maurice Hooker in the 12-round main event from Fort Worth, Texas.
Wil Esco will be on the round-by-round call for Ortiz-Hooker, as well as the co-feature where Anabel Ortiz defends her WBA 105-pound title against Seniesa Estrada.
Ortiz, 22, is one of Golden Boy’s two big hopes for the coming years along with lightweight Ryan Garcia, and is high among the top prospects in all of boxing right now. He’s had a series of good wins for where he’s at in his career, and hopes to put the 31-year-old Hooker on that list.
