MTK Global announced the undercard lineup for the August 6 super-bantamweight showdown between Michael Conlan and former IBF champion TJ Doheny. This event is part of the Feile an Phobail (The Community’s Festival) in Belfast, Ireland.
Perhaps the most interesting of the matchups (outside of the main event) is a super-lightweight contest between Tyrone McKenna (22-2-1, 6 KO) and Kazakhstan’s Zhankov Turarov (24-0, 17 KO). This one was originally scheduled to appear on the Herring-Frampton undercard before Turarov withdrew the morning of the fight.
Undefeated super-middleweight Padraig McCrory (11-0, 5 KO) makes his first appearance of 2021, taking on journeyman Russian boxer Sergei Gorokhov (11-2-2, 7 KO). Gorokhov is coming off an upset win over previously unbeaten Marko Nikolic in enemy territory, and looks to repeat that success here against McCrory.
Sean McComb (11-1, 5 KO) hopes to rebound from a disappointing stoppage loss to Gavin Gwynne in February as he takes on Craig Woodruff (10-6, 4 KO) in a lightweight bout. Rounding out the event is impressive bantamweight prospect Lee McGregor (10-0, 8 KO) matching up with undefeated Vincent Legrand (32-0, 17 KO).
