Conwell-DeLuca joins Paul-Woodley PPV on Aug. 29

Showtime’s August 29th Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley PPV revealed its date, location, and part of the main card earlier this week, and now the rest is coming together. Jake Donovan reports that local favorite Charles Conwell’s clash with Mark DeLuca, previously slated to take place on Triller’s erstwhile Teofimo Lopez vs. George Kambosos Jr. event, has been transplanted onto the card.

According to Lance Pugmire, unbeaten Cleveland welterweight Montana Love will fill the fourth slot against TBA.

Former Olympian Conwell (15-0, 11 KO), 23, has enjoyed a steady and impressive rise through the super welterweight ranks. His 2020 campaign saw him hand Wendy Toussaint and Madiyar Ashkeyev their first professional defeats, and while fights with both Ivan Golub and DeLuca (27-2, 15 KO), he stayed busy last month with a rout of journeyman Silverio Ortiz.

“Bazooka” DeLuca has won his last three and six of his last seven, the sole loss coming to Kell Brook in February 2020.
