After surviving the early knockdown, López took a beating in the third round. Mielnicki stalked his prey along the ropes, cornering him, then landing a barrage of punches forcing the ref to call a halt to the assault with 10 seconds remaining in the round.
Against López, Vito Mielnicki Jr. showed he had all the assets to continue moving up in the rankings of the welterweight division. That was until his next fight, After this fight, Mielnicki suffered his professional loss to James Martin where he was outboxed by his opponent.
On Saturday, July 31 on PBC on FOX, Mielnicki will seek retribution against Martin in a rematch of welterweight prospects.
