Scott: Fury is very vulnerable, Wilder will KO him in five

Fighting

A third fight between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder has been in the making for some time now, but as their scheduled October 9th fight date nears Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott tells Sky Sports that he’s spotted the weaknesses in Fury’s style and say Wilder will be taking full advantage to score a knockout win.

“Fury fights with his hands down, at times with his chin up, at times he comes forwards, at times he is close with his hands down. He has been knocked down by guys who hit less hard than Deontay. He is very vulnerable.”

Scott continues by explaining how much Wilder has improved lately while also adding that Wilder has an extremely violent mentality during their training camp, assuring fans this will be the best version of Wilder we’ve ever seen in the ring.

“Deontay’s IQ is very high. I watch him create, watch him put himself in position, set guys up into surgical traps. Deontay will knock Fury out inside of five rounds.”

Wilder, of course, will be nearing two full years out of the ring by the time he and Fury square off for the third time. Let’s just hope ring rust won’t play a factor. And according to Scott, that shouldn’t be an issue as Wilder has been locked in and laser focused about getting his hands back on the WBC world title.
