While we’ve yet to get any info on the November 20th Terence Crawford vs. Shawn Porter PPV main card, the prelims are coming together nicely. Mike Coppinger reports that former champion Isaac Dogboe and recent title challenger Christopher “Pitufo” Diaz will duke it out on the ESPN+/ESPN2 undercard, presumably joining Jared Anderson vs Oleksandr Teslenko.
Dogboe (22-2, 15 KO) and Diaz (26-3, 16 KO) share a common opponent in Emanuel Navarrete. “Royal Storm” first ran into “Vaquero” in 2018, losing his WBO super bantamweight title to scrap what had been a Fighter of the Year-worthy run, then suffered a protracted beating in the rematch. Diaz, meanwhile, fought his ass off last April in a bid for featherweight gold that saw him hit the deck four times before his corner pulled the plug.
Both men are still in their mid-20s, but this will be a massively important fight for their title aspirations. It also figures to be an extremely entertaining slugfest between two bruisers who will finally get to enjoy not dealing with a reach disadvantag.e
