On Thursday, May 26, to kickoff Memorial Day Weekend festivities, Salita Promotions returns for a very special weekday edition of their highly successful Detroit Brawl series of professional boxing events in the Lincoln Ballroom of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn, MI.

Riding on the strength of three sold-out events there already in 2022, this fantastic Detroit Brawl will feature another night of the city’s top fighting talent in intriguing matchups, with rising super welterweight powerhouse Marlon Harrington (7-0, 6 KOs) appearing in the night’s eight-round main event.

Fast-tracking former national amateur champion and undefeated professional middleweight Joseph Hicks Jr. (1-0, 1 KO) of Grand Rapids, Michigan, will continue his rapid climb up the 160-lb ranks in a six-round bout.

Fighting in supporting bouts will be a trio of undefeated Michigan prospects, including super welterweight Husam Al Mashhadi (3-0, 3 KOs) of Dearborn, as well as super lightweight Ferris Dixon Jr. (2-0, 1 KO) and also undefeated super welterweight Da’Velle Smith (2-0, 2 KOs), both of Detroit.

Event promoter Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions says he’s excited for this special holiday weekend event and for his continued role in the resurrection of Detroit boxing.

“I’m excited about this upcoming Detroit Brawl event, which will showcase several Michigan-based prospects looking to take the next step in their careers,” said Salita. “Marlon Harrington is a Detroit-born, hard-punching super welterweight with the power to make noise on the world stage.”

All opponents will be announced shortly and all bouts are subject to change.
