Top super featherweight contender Chris Colbert was slated to face then-world champion Roger Gutierrez on February 26, 2022, but when Gutierrez was forced to withdraw from the fight due to illness, it was Hector Luis Garcia who stepped in on only two weeks’ notice to face Colbert. Not only did Garcia defeat Colbert, he did so in dominating fashion, earning a unanimous decision win, and that’s why this win is the PBC Upset of the Year for 2022.
