Vuong, Kongo, and Hamed lead Wednesday night Riyadh Season show

Fighting

As with Riyadh Season’s Terence Crawford vs Israil Madrimov show in July, Saturday’s Wembley card will feature a trio of fights after Wednesday’s public workout. Cameron Vuong vs Joe Underwood Hughes, Chris Kongo vs Jacob Quinn, and Aadam Hamed vs Santiago Garces all go down tomorrow evening.

Vuong (5-0, 3 KO) and Hughes (8-1, 3 KO) were originally set to meet on Matchroom’s beleaguered Rhiannon Dixon vs Terri Harper show next week, but the shorter notice shouldn’t affect the outcome. Vuong is a prospect of some stripe and Hughes lasted all of 22 seconds against 3-8-1 Clayton Bricknell last September.

Kongo (15-2, 7 KO) and Hamed (2-0, 1 KO) don’t figure to have much issue, either. Quinn (8-4-1, 0 KO) is nearly 500 spots behind Kongo in BoxRec’s rankings and Garces (4-32-5, 2 KO), a journeyman wunderkind at just 22, is in the midst of a 35-fight winless streak.
